Fatou Gueye
Co-Founder & CEO After 19 years in international business, directing Air France’s brand strategy for 15 million passengers, earning my INSEAD MBA as the first Senegalese woman, and building DIGAL Consulting to serve corporate clients, I recognized two interconnected gaps:
- For Diaspora: Our 170+ million African descendants with deep cultural connections were being systematically excluded from property ownership in our ancestral homelands.
- For Businesses: Companies with capital and vision to expand to Africa faced massive barriers: complex regulations, cultural challenges and high failure rates.
I founded Bôroom Immobilier in 2015 to bridge these gaps. What started as helping diaspora families buy property evolved into Africa Soft Landing, a comprehensive platform serving both individuals seeking to come home AND businesses seeking to grow in Africa.

Co-Founder & Chief Strategic Officer Maguette Mbow brings 20+ years of digital transformation and business development expertise to Africa Soft Landing, having served as Digital Strategy Director for major European multinationals and African startups (Groupe France Agricole, Renault, Peugeot, …).
As founder of Talk & Taste Social Club (Platform for decision-makers and development actors in Africa) and L’Afrique C’est Chic World (Economic, social, and cultural innovation platform for Africa), Maguette has built the exact networks and expertise that make African business expansion successful.
